Southwest Microwave Factory Training Program Expanded For 2005

With constantly changing technology and security system capabilities, it's always a good idea to stay sharp by attending technical training sessions. Now, Southwest Microwave makes it easier than ever to brush up on your skills with their enhanced Factory Technical Training program.

Training sessions are offered to security systems integrators, installers and end-users who want to learn more about setup and operation of Southwest Microwave's perimeter security products.

In addition to offering training on the INTREPID™/MICRONET™ MicroPoint Cable™ System, the program has now been expanded to cover the company's extensive line of microwave sensors (T/R Links and Transceivers), and their newest and most sophisticated security management system-Perimeter Security Manager. The training program was expanded to include these topics due to increased customer demand.

"People who attended our INTREPID / MICRONET training sessions were asking for technical information on our other product offerings, so we've decided to augment our existing program," explains Bob Kirkaldie, Director of Sales and Marketing for Southwest Microwave. "We think attendees will benefit from these new resources, which give them the knowledge to successfully install and operate a broader range of products.

The Factory Technical Training program, held monthly at corporate headquarters in Tempe, Arizona, USA, offers an in-depth product overview, detailed setup information and operating instructions. A hands-on component lets participants use the equipment at Southwest Microwave's outdoor test range, which simulates a variety of challenging real-world conditions. "Aside from learning how the products work, attendees gain technical proficiency with our perimeter detection systems and security management tools that they can take back with them and apply immediately," Kirkaldie explains.

Convenient Scheduling

"For the convenience of attendees, our factory training classes are scheduled on consecutive days during a one-week period each month," explains Kirkaldie. "This means that technicians can attend multiple training classes during a single visit and get a wide spectrum of knowledge about installing and servicing Southwest Microwave's perimeter security products while they're here."

In addition to broadening Factory Training sessions held in the US, the program is being expanded to other regions for the convenience of international security technicians.

"We have classes scheduled in various parts of the world, including Asia, South America, and Western Europe. There are quarterly sessions at our European office in the UK, which also has an extensive on-site outdoor test range for the students to use",
says Kirkaldie.

Free To Attend

All of Southwest Microwave's Factory Training sessions are offered free of charge, with participants responsible only for travel and lodging during their stay.

"We're trying to make it as easy as possible for people to attend these sessions," Kirkaldie concludes. "Increased technical knowledge about our perimeter security systems will help to ensure that our customers receive maximum system benefits - both in terms of installation cost savings and years of reliable operation. Training makes the technician's job easier in the long-run."
